Where can I board Commuter Express? |
|
You can board Commuter Express service at the park and ride locations, the University of North Texas’ stops at Avenue D and Highland and in front of the library on Highland, Texas Woman’s University near the Student Union Building, eight stops in the central business district of downtown Dallas or at the DART North Carrollton Transit Center on the reverse commute.
Buses only stop at spots designated by a DCTA sign. |

| UNT Shuttle, NCTC Shuttle & DCTA Connections: |
| You can connect to the UNT Shuttle system at the corner of Highland and Avenue D and across the street from the UNT Library on Highland. You can connect to the NCTC Shuttle from the Lewisville Park & Ride. Passengers can transfer for free to DCTA's Connect service at the Park & Rides in Lewisville and Denton, at the DCTA transfer center in Denton and on the campuses of UNT and TWU. |

Because UNT students pay a student fee in their tuition, UNT students, faculty, and staff ride Commuter Express with a UNT ID. No additional ticket or fare purchase is necessary. |

Because NCTC students pay a student fee in their tuition, NCTC students, faculty, and staff ride Commuter Express with a NCTC ID. No additional ticket or fare purchase is necessary. |

Where can I buy tickets? |
|
You can purchase tickets at City Hall in Lewisville, TWU Commuter Services Office (Student Union, 2nd floor) or online. Tickets can also be purchased (using cash, check, or money order) at Park & Ride locations from Commuter Express drivers the first and last three days of the month. |

How much does it cost to ride? |
|
A one-way cash fare is $5, a twenty-ride ticket is $45, a monthly pass is $85 and an annual pass is available for $800. |

Will the passes be good on DART services and vice-versa? |
|
At this time, DCTA Commuter Express passes are valid only on the Commuter Express. Separate fare will be needed for DART. |

Can I use my credit card to buy passes/tickets? |
|
Visa and MasterCard are accepted in our online store. We accept cash, check or money order for other fare purchase methods. |

Do children have a discounted fare? |
|
Children five and under ride for free when accompanied by a fare paying adult. Children six and over must pay regular fare. |

Do you operate on the weekends? |
|
DCTA’s Commuter Express operates Monday through Friday, excluding major holidays (New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day). |

Can I bring my bike? |

You can bring your bike and store it under the bus. |

Who do I call if I lost something? |
|
If you lost an item on the bus, please call 940-243-0077 to reach our lost and found service. If you have the date, route number, and trip time available, that will aid in the search for your lost item. DCTA is not responsible for items left on the bus, but we will do our best to help you locate it. |

Can I park overnight?

You can not use the park and rides overnight. |

Can I eat and drink on the bus? |
|
Food and drinks with a lid are allowed on the Commuter Express buses. We ask that you respect your neighbors and pick up all of your trash upon exiting the bus. |

Are pets allowed on the bus? |

Only service animals are allowed on Commuter Express service. |

Are the vehicles wheelchair accessible? |
|
Yes. Each vehicle is equipped with a wheelchair lift. |

Do you have ride guides available in different languages and formats? |

DCTA is not responsible for damage or theft. |

What is the travel time to downtown Dallas? |
|
DCTA estimates that the trip from Denton to Dallas takes approximately one hour and the trip from Lewisville to Dallas takes approximately 45 minutes. These times are approximate because of unforeseen conditions that may speed up or delay service on any given day. DCTA can not guarantee specific arrival times. Commuter Express buses travel on the HOV lane, providing a time savings for patrons. |
