With the beginning of fall comes Denton County Transportation Authority (DCTA) service changes. Effective Monday October 25, DCTA will implement minor changes to its bus services to optimize route times and enhance on time performance. The changes better reflect traffic patterns and affect Denton and Lewisville Connect Bus routes, along with University of North Texas (UNT) Campus Shuttle routes.
Denton and Lewisville Connect Bus Service Updates
To optimize run times and on-time performance, DCTA is updating Denton Connect Bus Routes and Lewisville Connect Bus Routes. Below is an overview of key route changes:
- Denton Connect Routes
- Routes affected: 3 and 7
- Route 3
- Weekday timetable has changed.
- Weekday schedule was modified to mitigate traffic issues at Ryan High School. The Saturday schedule has no changes.
- Route 7
- Timetable has changed.
- Changes to both weekday and Saturday schedules to mitigate traffic issues in west Denton.
- Route 3
- Lewisville Connect Routes
- Routes affected: 22
- Route 22
- Weekday timetable has changed.
- Changes to the last two runs on weekdays and no changes to Saturday.

- UNT Campus Shuttles
- All UNT Campus Shuttles affected:
- Mean Green (MG 111)
- Timetable has changed.
- Mean Green Night Rider (MGNR 116)
- Timetable has changed.
- North Texan (NT 121)
- Timetable has changed and extended evening runs were added.
- Eagle Point (EP 131)
- Timetable has changed.
- Discovery Park (DP 141)
- Timetable has changed and extended evening runs were added.

- Centre Place (CP 151)
- Timetable has changed.

- No changes to the timetable.
- Path for Parking Express (B only) has changed at Apogee to mitigate concerns about the buses driving on a particular section of the parking lot.
