
Effective Monday, March 14, Denton County Transportation Authority (DCTA) will implement the following service changes to better reflect traffic patterns, better optimize the in-between round route times and adjust routes to better align the coverage area to be used in conjunction with GoZone on-demand rideshare service. This will also help with the adherence to the schedule so passengers should see better on-time performance with more roundtrips and more frequent trips.
Below are key service changes DCTA riders should keep in mind to plan travel in advance:
Denton Connect Bus
- Route 2
- Significant route path adjustments, which include removing three stops and adding two new stops.
- Weekday timetable has changed in frequency. Service starts later and ends earlier with 42 minutes between departures. Round trips increased from 13 to 15.
- Saturday timetable has changed in frequency. Service starts later time and ends earlier with 45 minutes between departures. Round trips increased from 12 to 14.
- Route 3
- Significant route path adjustments, which include removing two stops and adding four new stops.
- Weekday timetable has changed in frequency. Service starts and ends later with 40 minutes between departures. Round trips increased from 14 to 17.
- Saturday timetable has changed in frequency. Service starts and ends later.
- Route 4
- Significant route path adjustments, which include removing 10 stops and adding six new stops.
- Weekday timetable has changed in frequency with 40 minutes between departures. Service starts later and ends earlier.
- Saturday timetable has changed in frequency with 60 minutes between departures. Service starts later and ends earlier. Round trips have changed from
12 to 10.
- Route 5 NEW!
- Newly redesigned route with six stops.
- There will be 30 minutes frequency between trips and will make 22 round trips.
- Route 6
- Significant route path adjustments, which include removing two stops and adding new three stops.
- Weekday timetable has changed in frequency. Service starts and ends later with 33 minutes between departures. Round trips increased from 13 to 20.
- Saturday timetable has changed in frequency. Service starts earlier and ends later time with 40 minutes between departures. Round trips increased from 11 to 16.
- Route 7
- Significant route path adjustments, which include removing six stops and adding five new stops.
- Weekday timetable has changed in frequency. Service starts later and ends earlier with 27-61 minutes between departures. Round trips increased from 22 to 24.
- Saturday timetable has changed frequency. Service starts earlier and ends later with 60-66 minutes between departures. Round trips increased from 9 to 11.
