All Denton County Transportation Authority (DCTA) services will resume regular service on Friday, February 25. This includes the A-train and Access services, along with Denton Connect bus service, North Texas Xpress Route 64, and the University of North Texas (UNT) Campus Shuttles pending worsening roadway conditions and operator availability. Also, Via will operate GoZone on a normal schedule. Please continue to be careful on sidewalks while entering and exiting vehicles.
Passengers are encouraged to sign up for Rider Alerts to stay up to date on DCTA services. They provide flexibility by allowing users to select specific DCTA services, routes, etc. in their subscription. Users can choose from a new, expanded topic list to meet their personal travel needs. Delivery preferences customize Rider Alerts for instant, daily or weekly access to information. Subscribers receive text message notifications for lengthy service suspension announcements.
The Downtown Denton Transit Center (DDTC) ticket windows will reopen tomorrow, along with the DCTA’s administrative office during normal business hours.
DCTA will continue to monitor the forecast and adjust service operations accordingly to keep riders and employees safe. Riders should expect delays based on road conditions.
Passengers should also note that DCTA’s Transit Tracker system may not provide accurate arrival information for agency vehicles if services are delayed or suspended.
All future updates regarding any service delays or interruptions will be sent to passengers via DCTA’s Rider Alert notifications, Facebook, Twitter and at RideDCTA.net/service-updates.
